Natalie & Tom's wedding celebration photographed at Ripley Castle
It was a misty start to the wedding day but the Castle always looks good in photographs no matter what the weather. The bridal party walked to the Castle from The Boars Head where the bride had got ready and although there were some heavy rain showers during the civil ceremony in the East Wing, the sun came out and we made the most of the beautiful grounds. I do not use the walled gardens that often on the wedding day but it is really worth making the time as we got some stunning bridal portraits before walking to the Lake but this time the Castle was bathed in sunshine with blue skies. We met up before the wedding where we did a pre-wedding shoot and talked through what would happen on their wedding day. Although you cannot plan for the weather it always helps make the day run smoother having an idea where we will be doing the photography.
